STAND OUT?
Go against the flock?

This sheep is not afraid to be different and think outside of the box. No more of those comfy green pastures we’re all used to.
GREAT!
MY STORY
I suppose I should begin by introducing myself. My name is Gabi and I’m a young designer and illustrator living in Canada. Professionally, I go by Black Sheep Design and specialize in illustration. I stared practicing illustration when I was in elementary school. It became an obsession for me and I began researching and teaching myself new techniques.
While I did try taking art classes outside of school I found that I was able to teach myself a greater amount and far more interesting assortment of things. While in elementary school I would often carry all of my how to draw books with me anywhere I went. Not good for my back but I liked to have my references nearby at all times.

In high school I was introduced to photography, videography and video and photo editing. I really enjoyed doing these things and decided to pursue them as my future career. I ended up taking one year of Photography, one year of Interactive Media Design and finally I found my place in Graphic Design. While I love designing, photography and photo manipulation, illustration is still my favorite.
Of the programs we’ve learned to use over the course of Graphic Design, Photoshop has always been my favorite. I still remember my first time using Photoshop. In high school Communications Technology we had to Photoshop Elmo’s head onto a member of parliament. I was hooked from there. By my final year of high school I took my Co-op with the Communications Technology teacher and was able to teach new students to take photos and edit them, hopefully inspiring a new generation of Graphic Designers.
